Grace Place is a long-term, supportive housing program for women with children experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to provide stability, structure, and community for families who are ready to take courageous steps toward independence and the full promise of Christ-centered living.

This page will help you understand whether our program is a good fit for your needs. If you believe Grace Place may be the right next step, we would be honored to walk alongside you.

Applying for help takes courage. If you feel unsure about your eligibility or need assistance with the application, please reach out. You are not alone, and we will guide you through the process.
Must I have employment?
No.

If you are in imminent danger, you must go to a domestic violence shelter until the imminent threat is gone. Then, you can transition to Grace Place.
Yes. We drug test upon admittance and also randomly.
Grace Place embraces the Recovery Community and we make sure that our programs can be adjusted to support the recovery journey. If you are in active addiction, you must complete a rehabilitation program before coming to Grace Place and then continue to attend recovery meetings.

No, all applicants must apply directly and interview directly with our In-Take Coordinator. Click here for our application.

Matt Denney

Advisory

A native of Hendersonville, Matt completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Tennessee before returning in 2005 to begin his career as a CPA in Nashville.   He honed his skills serving privately held businesses for national and regional firms until January 2021 when he joined Davis, Brown & Company PLLC as a partner.  He has a broad range of experience serving clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, retail, non-profit, and real estate industries.

 

Matt has always been passionate about serving and contributing to the success of nonprofits that cater to the needs of families.  During his career he has served on the boards of or volunteered for organizations focused on foster care, family welfare, and homeless youth.  In addition to shifting focus to the business needs of Sumner County it was also his intent to find local organizations that are benefitting his home community.  He is enthusiastic about dedicating his skills and passion to help further the mission of Grace Place and make a meaningful impact in this area.

 

Matt resides in Gallatin with his wife (Lindsay) and three children (Caroline, Andrew, and Luke).
