At Grace Place, we customize our services to address each family’s individual needs. Throughout their journey with us, we support single mothers and their children by focusing on education, relationship-building, and dedicated time. Our trauma-informed approach aims to foster stability, boost confidence, and promote long-lasting success. The duration of this journey can vary, ranging from 3 to 18 months, based on the unique situation of each family.
Every family receives a set of core services meant to strengthen health, personal organization, and connection with support advocates
Grace Place offers structured support across four key goal areas: employment, transportation, financial health, and housing, all tailored to each family’s unique needs.
We help mothers pursue meaningful work through career training, access to full-time positions with livable income, and reliable childcare.
Practical mobility matters. We support driver’s license acquisition, vehicle access, and automobile insurance, all to help moms get where they need to be.
Families work toward financial independence with help in debt elimination, legal resolution, payment planning, credit restoration, and building emergency savings.
Our housing pathway may include graduate housing for an additional year and support toward permanent housing. The length of participation depends on individual circumstances and goals.
While working on their goals, families engage in intentional programming that builds skills, resilience, and community:
A native of Hendersonville, Matt completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Tennessee before returning in 2005 to begin his career as a CPA in Nashville. He honed his skills serving privately held businesses for national and regional firms until January 2021 when he joined Davis, Brown & Company PLLC as a partner. He has a broad range of experience serving clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, retail, non-profit, and real estate industries.
Matt has always been passionate about serving and contributing to the success of nonprofits that cater to the needs of families. During his career he has served on the boards of or volunteered for organizations focused on foster care, family welfare, and homeless youth. In addition to shifting focus to the business needs of Sumner County it was also his intent to find local organizations that are benefitting his home community. He is enthusiastic about dedicating his skills and passion to help further the mission of Grace Place and make a meaningful impact in this area.
Matt resides in Gallatin with his wife (Lindsay) and three children (Caroline, Andrew, and Luke).
